The Stand is a Comedy Cafe bar which is located on High Bridge and is recognised as one of the best venues in the North East for comedy.
The bar has a cafe bistro with a range of tasty snacks and meals on offer. The Theatre is located downstairs where comedy acts are featured every night. The main bar area has a small bar with plenty of tables and chairs for diners. There is a range of beers and local cask ales on offer. To the rear of the bar there is a small outside Bistro courtyard garden area that is open in fine weather. Trip Advisor winner of Certificate of Excellence 2014, 2015 & 2016. Disabled access to main bar is very good but can be difficult to toilets and theatre which is down a flight of stairs. Toilets are small and clean. Price: Moderate. |
