There is an abundance of seating throughout with a mixture of high and low tables and chairs. There is also plenty of standing room. Near the main entrance to the right there is a pool table. The pub is bright and airy as there are large glass windows to the front and a high ceiling. The decor is a mixture of dark and cream colours with Newcastle United stars of yesteryear featured on a large mural. There is also several pictures of well known geordie celebreties for you to spot throughout the bar. Regular music playing at most times. Several widescreen TV's are to be found in all areas with a large drop down screen to the rear of the bar. Live sports are advertised with live premier league football a regular feature. The pub attracts a mixed clientele of students, locals, business people, shoppers and people on a night out. With its excellent position being close to the shops and bus station and it is also a good meeting place prior to and after Newcastle home matches.
