Large wetherspoons pub that has been totally transformed and is now one of the biggest pubs in town.

The pub which was formerly known as Luckies bar has been extended into the premises next door that was Paris Texas restaurant and is now set out over 2 floors.

There are 2 entrances to the front and side with a long bar. The pub has plenty of seating throughout for diners with the emphasis on providing reasonably priced meals for diners.

The decor is of a modern style with maroon and cream colours and exposed brickwork and wooden panelling.

There is an outside seating area to one side that is always busy when the weather is fine.

The pub attracts a mixed clientele of business people, shoppers and football crowd but being close to the Newcastle University and University of Northumbria there is also a high student presence.

With the excellent range of ales and beers on offer as well as reasonably priced meals it is always busy therefore you may find it difficult at times to get a seat/table.

Live sports are shown in bar and there are a number of games machines. Free WiFi throughout bar.

Disabled access is good. Toilets are smart and clean.

Price: Reasonable.
