Newcastle's iconic Empress Bar has been renowned for decades as the meeting, passing and finishing point of a true Geordie night out.

Acclaimed as Newcastle's Busiest Student Bar; it's the only place to be 7 nights a week.

Starting off as a cosy Cocktail Bar then turning into a Club atmosphere as the night evolves.

New Garden area open from 21/05/21 with plenty of outdoor lighting and heat lamps.

The all new area sits between St Nicholas Cathedral and The Castle. With bespoke sheltered huts for couples or groups of up to 6, lazy afternoon bistro tables, and comfy garden sofas.

It has been given a new look and The Empress Bar is firmly back in the hearts of thousands of visitors every week.

Think Middle-England Vs Industrial Deluxe with homely booths and an awesome sound and light system.

This long serving Newcastle bar has reverted back to it's former name The Empress after several name changes.

The bar was previously known as Zoots, Agora, Kuba and Bernaccia but thankfully it's now back at last to it's original name.

The venue can accomodate any party up to 200 people and can also offer exclusive hire before 10pm.

Whether you want a roped off area or booth amongst the other party revellers; or you want to hire the venue for your own event it is ideal for any occasion.

Disabled access very good with a designated toilet to the rear. Toilets are small and clean.

Price: Moderate.
