Large corner pub in the City East area that has plenty to offer as an alternative to the City Centre pub scene.

There are two entrances to the front and rear of the pub that lead through to the main bar.

There is a large drinking area surrounding a circular bar in the centre with plenty of seating and tables and chairs around the walls.

The large windows to the front and side give a bright feel to the place by day.

In the evening there is more of a darker subdued atmosphere with purple and blue lighting and candles.

The decor is a mix of cream, green and maroon pastel colours.

There is also a selection of flyers advertising forthcoming music events displayed on the walls next to the toilets.

A pool table is located at the rear of the pub with free pool play every Monday. There are several games machines dotted about.

Regular music is on play at most times. A DJ area is situated at the end of the bar and is a regular feature on a Wednesday - Sunday.

Friday night is Melting pot at Tanners from 8pm - midnight. Live Music is also held on selected nights.

Live football and six nations rugby are shown on widescreen TV's throughout the bar.

The pub attracts a steady crowd of locals and students and those into the live music scene.

It is busy on most nights with a lively atmosphere on DJ nights, and can also be busy during the day.

A large outside beer garden is open when the wether is fine.
