Located on Market St, dAt bAr Newcastle is an independent, exciting venture from the De Giorgi family, the people behind sister bar Nitehawks.

Drawing on stripped back urban influences and mixing them with simple design features and details, dAt bAr promises to be the most unique place to eat, drink, and be merry in Newcastle.

Mix this up with their love for craft beers, great wine, exquisite coffee, and simple, tasty food, there is truly nothing like the dAt bAr environment in the North East.

From the main entrance there are two long bars. The bar to the right hand side leads through to the Theatre and has bar stools with seating by the window.

The upper bar is mainly for diners and has plenty of tables and chairs. The decor is very modern and stylish with low drop down lighting in the evening giving a relaxed and comfortable feel to the place. The large windows to the front make the place bright and airy during the day.

Regular music is on play at most times with a DJ booth located at the top of the stairs to the left of the main entrance.

The bar is frequented by theatre goers, shoppers and business people. It is busy most times of the day with the regular events on at the Theatre Royal. There is a small outside seating area to the front of the bar.

Disabled access good with bar on the one level. The toilets are smart and clean.
