Very large modern bar that is the sister to the Soho Rooms in the City Centre and is one of the most lively and impressive in the Jesmond area.

There are two doors at the front that lead to the main bar area where you find a long winding designer wooden bar.

The decor is a mixture of maroon colours with pine furnishings. There is low drop down lighting over the bar with small spotlighting built in to the ceiling.

There is plenty of seating throughout with lounge seating in the centre of the bar with high stools.

The bar has a wooden floor and there is an assortment of modern pictures and portraits on the walls.

There is a raised area at the right of the main entrance with comfortable lounge seating and tables and chairs.

The large windows to the front make the bar bright and airy by day and in the evening the blinds are drawn and there is more subdued lighting.

To the left hand side of the bar there is a further small bar. This area has a mixture of lounge seating and tables and chairs.

Once again there is modern pictures and mainly pine panelling on the walls. There is also a cash link machine in the corner.

This leads through to the food bar where meals can be ordered. This area has been extended with plenty of seating making the pub one of the largest in Jesmond.

At the rear there is a small wooden bar with some tables and chairs and small comfortable booths. Over the bar there is cylindrical low drop lighting.

Regular music is on play at most times. There are several widescreen TV's throughout the bar which shows all live sports including live football.

Full air conditioning throughout. Quiz night - Every Sunday from 7.30pm.

The bar is very lively at all times and attracts an upmarket clientele. It is popular with the young crowd, students and is especially busy on the weekend when the crowd usually spills out onto the outside seating area.

The bar can be best described as the 'in' place in Jesmond.

Disabled access to the main bar is very good with a designated disabled toilet. Ask for the key at the bar. The toilets are small and clean.

Outside there is a large seating area/ sheisha garden with several tables and chairs with some heated lamps. A bus stop is conveniently located outside the bar.

Private parties catered for - ask at bar.

Price: Moderate.
