Medium sized pub with a long bar and a wooden floor. The pub is smartly decked out with a new extended area to the right of the bar and an outside roof terrace upstairs.

There are two entrances to the front and side. With the additional space created by the extension there is plenty of seating with tables and chairs up one side with high backed leather seating in the corner.

This leads through to a raised area at the rear with further seating. The upstairs heated roof terrace beer garden is accessed by a flight of stairs to the rear and is open until 11pm.

The decor is a mixture of dark green colours with a wooden floor throughout.

The pub has a bright and airy feel during the day with large windows to the front and side, and at night the low down drop lighting over the bar and modern spotlighting gives a more cosy intimate atmosphere.

The bar attracts a steady crowd of locals and students and is busy at most times.

There is regular music on play with three juke boxes. A DJ is a regular feature every Friday & Saturday from 9am - 1pm and is housed at the rear of the pub. There are two TV's to the front and one situated at the rear.

Live Music on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Air conditioning throughout with ceiling fans used at certain times. Monday quiz night from 8pm.

Disabled access is reasonable. The toilets at either side of the bar are small and clean.

Price: Moderate.
