What's On: Monday - Quiz night from 9pm

Live music on the Terrace on Wednesday to Sunday evening. Sessions held every night (except Saturday) and Film Club - every 1st Monday of the month at 8.30pm (Kids Film Club every Wednesday from 3.45pm).

Traditional Newcastle pub, dating from 1860 that is a popular music and real ale venue in the Ouseburn area.

The pub is in an elevated position overlooking the Ouseburn with a large outside seating area to the front.

From the main entrance there are two rooms - to the left is the bar and the sitting room is located to the right.

Both rooms are decked out in a traditional pub style with plenty of seating in the sitting room.

The pub attracts students and locals, and visitors to the Ouseburn area. It is busy on the weekend and in the evening when live events are held in the bar.

Quiz night on a Monday from 9pm (50p per entry).

The pub has an excellent reputation for beer and is an ideal place to enyoy a drink away from the throng of the City Centre.

Bed and breakfast is available with 4 en suite rooms - twin or double for £80.00 (2 people sharing) or single £70.00.

A continental or cooked breakfast is served to your room between 8am and 10am.

Disabled access is ok as the bar is all on the one level. Toilets are small and basic
