Large John Barras pub in the corner of Heaton Road in the Heaton area of Newcastle.
This traditional pub has 2 entrances to the front and rear with a long bar and plenty of seating for diners.
Live football is shown on a number of widescreen TV's and a large screen throughout the pub.
A quiz night is held 3 nights a week on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Two pool tables/darts boards are located in the pub.
The pub is very popular with a mixed clientele with a range of discount on drinks attracting the student crowd.
The reasonably priced menu and regular events held in the pub makes this a popular place to visit. A function room
for parties/weddings/conferences etc is available for hire with it's own bar for £50.
The pub is child friendly with children admitted until 7pm. Outside there is a large seating area that is
used in fine weather. There is a large car park to the rear of the pub.
Disabled access very good with the bar all on the one level, designated disabled toilet.
Toilets small and clean.
