New late Jazz bar that has recently opened on the Quayside.

The bar was formerly known as Flynns and has reopened after being closed for some time.

It has been named Charts as this historic building was formerly used as a map house by sailors setting off from the Tyne.

The bar is set out over 4 levels with a bar on the first floor an another bar on the top level. There are large windows to the front of the bar that afford spectacular views of the River Tyne, Sage Theatre and new water feature.

Artwork is displayed on the exposed brick walls and is available to purchase.

The bar has a wooden floor and there is plenty of seating throughout on all levels for diners.

There is further tables and chairs as you enter the bar in what used to be the lane at the side.

The low drop down lighting, spotlighting and candles on tables gives a cosy feel to the place in the evening. At the front there is a small outside terrace area which is used in fine weather.

Regular music is on play at most times with Live jazz music featured on most nights. Walk in musicians accepted on a Sunday.

WiFi is available in the bar - wifi passcode Charts2018.

Disabled access to the bar is good with a disabled toilet on the ground level. Toilets are small and clean.

Price:Moderate.
