Medium sized 90's
revival bar with a bright modern colour scheme
throughout and a heavily based 90's theme. The pub
has recently changed its name from Boom. The decor
is a mixture of pastel colours and there is a
flashing lighting system throughout.
There is a long
bar to the right of the main entrance. The main bar
area has limited seating to the front with
plenty of standing space. This leads through to two
smaller areas at the side and rear of the pub. The
side area has some additional
standing space, and to the rear
there is a raised area with a large floor space and
some tables and chairs. The DJ is also housed in
this area, which is mainly used as a dance floor.
There is regular
90's music on play at most times giving a lively
party atmosphere. Around the walls there is
music
memorabilia of the 90's. Several TV's are to be found
behind and opposite
to the bar with some games machines dotted about.
The pub is very busy at the weekend and can also be
busy later on in the evening throughout the week. It
attracts a young crowd or those stuck in a 90's time
warp rekindling their lost youth. It is also a good
stopping off point on the way to the Bigg Market.
Party bookings - book your hen or stag party, with Q jump and a free bottle of bubbly.
Disabled access is very good to the main bar and
there is also a disabled toilet situated in an area
to the side
of the pub. Ask at the bar
for the key. Toilets are small and in a reasonable
condition.
