Alfie's is a Student bar that was formerly known as The New Bridge Inn.

The bar/pub dates back to 1884 and was previously owned by Sir John Fitzgeralds.

It has been fully refurbished again with a change in emphasis on attracting the younger crowd.

The bar can be accessed from two main entrances to the front and side of the pub.

There is plenty of seating throughout the bar.

It is bright and airy by day as there are windows to the front and side. By night there is a more cosy atmosphere with smart low drop down lighting over the bar area.

Regular music on play at most times with Live DJ Every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 7pm.

Quiz every Sunday from 7pm, Pre-booking Required.

The bar can be busy at most times, especially in the evening and at the weekend with a steady clientele of locals and students.

Live Sports shown on 5 large screens with Sky & BT Sport showing football, cricket and rugby matches.

Disabled access to main bar is very good from the entrance at the side of the pub. Toilets at the rear are very smart and clean.

Price: Moderate.
